WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR GETTING MY GARDEN ROOM?
After an initial phone call to understand your requirements we will visit your property for an initial site survey. At this time we will also confirm your requirements and any specific design details. We will then proceed to create a CAD design of your building for approval. Once contracts are signed a 30% deposit is then required to secure your project and allow us to begin ordering materials.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD MY GARDEN ROOM?
We aim to have your garden room completed and ready for you to enjoy within 15 days. Rooms with services that require connections to mains plumbing etc. may take longer. Smaller rooms can be completed within 7 days.
DO I REQUIRE PLANNING PERMISSION?
Under new regulations that came into effect 1st October 2008 Garden Room’s (outbuildings) are considered to be permitted development, not requiring planning permission, subject to a few limits and conditions. It is the ultimate responsibility of the home/land owner to ensure their Cedar Room meets Planning & Building Regulations, although we are on hand to give advice and support.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ?
Each project we build is unique and it is therefore difficult to present a set menu cost for your build. As an indicative figure our garden room prices start from £1000 per square meter.
Please note that our buildings are high specification garden rooms and are built with the quality and construction methods of a new home, therefore the price of a Cedar Space should be compared with the price and inconvenience of an extension rather than the price of a shed. Our buildings are affordable investments to your home which will not only add extra valuable space but will also add value to the price of your home if you sell in the future.
WHAT TYPE OF FOUNDATIONS DOES THE GARDEN ROOM HAVE?
Our buildings are built on poured concrete foundations or ground screws. Options will be discussed with you during our initial site visit.
WHO WILL BUILD MY GARDEN ROOM?
A typical build will have two members of the Cedar Space team onsite. We are a professional, courteous team that are dedicated to delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
WHAT GUARANTEES COME WITH MY GARDEN ROOM?
You get a 10 year structural guarantee against defects. As certified installers of EPDM roof covering you will get a 20 year guarantee for your roof. All electrical and plumbing work is completed by fully registered tradesmen. In addition, manufacturers’ guarantees for windows, roofing, flooring, etc. are also given.
